2019 Pettit Scholar Tricia Kleidon

Congratulations to AVATAR's Pocket Rocket, Paediatric Vascular Access Nurse Practitioner, Tricia Kleidon, RN, BSC(NURSING), GRADCERT(PEDIATRICS), MNURSSCI(NURSEPRAC)!

 

This year the Association of Vascular Access and the Pediatric Special Interest Group recognizes Tricia Kleidon, RN, NursPrac, as the 2019 Dr. Janet Pettit Scholar. Ms. Kleidon is a Nurse Practitioner in Pediatric Vascular Assessment and Management at Queensland Children's Hospital in Brisbane, Australia, and a Research Fellow at Griffith University.

She is a nationally and internationally-welcomed speaker and educator for peripheral and central venous access devices. She is an active member of the Alliance for Vascular Access Teaching and Research (AVATAR) and was awarded their Researcher of the Year in 2017. Her passion for promoting evidence-based practices in the dynamically evolving care of our young patients is inspiring. Her publications, research, enthusiastic willingness to collaborate and mentor demonstrate a selfless commitment to advancing practice in vascular access.

In honor of the life work of Dr. Janet Pettit, please join AVA and the Pediatric Special Interest Group as we congratulate Ms. Tricia Kleidon as the 2019 Dr. Janet Pettit Scholar.
