Call for Papers: Safety, Innovation, and Quality Improvement in Vascular Access
Vascular access is vital in modern healthcare—but it remains a high-risk, high-cost procedure. Preventable harm, rapid technological change, and inconsistent practices continue to challenge clinicians worldwide.
To drive progress, SAGE Open Nursing is launching a Special Collection on “Safety, Innovation, and Quality Improvement in Vascular Access.” We invite submissions that advance best practices, showcase innovation, and improve patient outcomes across diverse healthcare settings.
Topics of interest include:
- Vascular health promotion and prevention strategies
- Catheter-associated complication prevention and infection control
- Innovations in devices and intravenous therapy
- Clinical bundles and evidence-based harm reduction strategies
- Education, simulation training, and patient/caregiver perspectives
- Implementation science and quality improvement initiatives
- Equity, accessibility, and interprofessional approaches to vascular access
Submission deadline: February 6, 2026
All manuscripts will undergo peer review. Article Processing Charges apply, with discounts available through institutional Open Access agreements.
